Support Mindful Rescue's Hurricane Helene Relief

Mindful Rescue, a newly formed Texas non-profit organization filing for 501(c)(3) status shortly, is on a mission to provide crucial relief to families devastated by Hurricane Helene. We need your help to make a difference in the lives of those affected by this disaster in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and other hurricane-impacted areas.

Richie Flores, from Pflugerville, TX (outside of Austin), the President of Mindful Rescue (Owner of Mindful Moving and Richie Does It All), has been actively involved in hurricane relief efforts since Hurricane Harvey in 2017 and countless other disaster relief efforts across the United States. Richie has a wealth of experience in disaster recovery, including search and rescue operations for both humans and pets and assisting with home demolitions, and repairing homes to rebuild communities. Over the years, Richie has played a key role in recovery efforts for five major hurricanes, and now he’s leading our team to bring hope and support to those affected by Hurricane Helene and future disasters from personal, local, state, and federal emergencies.

Our goal is to depart from the Austin/Central Texas area no later than October 15, 2024, bringing disaster relief and emergency services directly to the hardest-hit communities affected by Hurricane Helene. But we can’t do this without your support!

How You Can Help

We are seeking donations to support our on-the-ground efforts. Your generosity will help us provide critical supplies, equipment, and services to families in desperate need. In this crucial first phase, every dollar counts, and donations will go directly to:

• Search and rescue operations for individuals and pets

• Demolition and repairing of damaged homes to make them livable again

• Delivery of emergency supplies to families in need

Items Needed for Donation:

• Pet food (dog and cat)

• Cat litter, wet cat food

• Baby food, formula, baby wipes, diapers, bottles

• Clothes for kids

• Adult diapers

• Charging bricks

• Water formula, bottled water

• Flashlights, batteries (all types, hearing aid, etc.)

• Travel-sized shampoo/conditioner, deodorants, mouthwash

• Toilet paper, paper towels

• Gas, propane, sterno

• Sliced bread, canned soup (non-cream based), snacks

• Socks, underwear

• Small aluminum pans, to-go containers

• Oven mitts, dish rags

• Medical supplies (Benadryl tablets, epi-pens)

Your donation, whether in cash or supplies, will help us support affected families with the essentials they need to rebuild their lives. Your financial support will also help cover our operational costs, including transportation, fuel, and other logistical needs to ensure that our team is fully equipped to provide immediate disaster relief.
