Support Mindoro's Mangyan Tribe's Health Mission

In my home island of Mindoro, Philippines, there is a tribe called the Mangyan. The Mangyans live in remote and impoverished communities in the mountains. I am endeavoring to organize a medical mission to these underserved people. I grew up aware of the disparities they faced, and as a caregiver in the medical field, I want to give back. This will be a one day outreach that consists of providing medical services, provisions, and health education. Local doctors, nurses, and physical therapists have pledged their assistance in providing their skills and expertise to make this day happen.

The focus of our mission is to make a lasting impact. When we arrive, we will provide provisions in the form of food and hygienic supplies. For the medical services, we will provide free check ups, medications, and referrals for necessary continued treatment. We will also give a presentation and disseminate pamphlets on fundamental healthcare. Among the topics that will be broached are family planning, the importance of vaccinations, basic treatments and remedies, care for animal bites, as well as preventive hygienic practices.

I’m seeking your assistance for our mission. I have the necessary skills and contacts, but I need your aid to fund this effort. I entered the medical field to help people.
