Help Mineka Overcome Her Medical Battle: A Single Mother Fighting for Her Life

Dear Family, Friends, and Compassionate Strangers,

I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support in helping my daughter, Mineka, overcome an incredibly difficult and life-threatening medical battle. Mineka, a devoted single mother to two beautiful girls aged 9 and 10, is currently on life support, fighting for her life after a series of catastrophic health issues. As her mother, I am doing everything in my power to ensure she has the care she needs to survive and recover—but we cannot do this alone.

Mineka's Journey: On January 18, 2025, Mineka was diagnosed with a severe spinal cord infarction caused by abscesses in her cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. She is currently unable to move her arms or legs and has developed severe complications, including pneumonia, and septic shock due to MRSA, which has worsened her condition. The road to recovery is uncertain, but Mineka has expressed her desire to fight—she wants to live, regain her mobility, and be there for her daughters.

Since her hospitalization, Mineka has undergone multiple surgeries, including a tracheotomy and a feeding tube insertion. She’s received numerous blood transfusions and iron infusions to treat anemia, and we’ve seen both progress and setbacks in her journey. The infection continues to rage, especially in her spine, and she’s been battling fever spikes that threaten her recovery.

The Need for Extensive Treatment: Mineka’s road to recovery will require long-term care, including intensive physical therapy, reconstructive nerve surgery, and possibly paralysis treatment. This treatment will be costly, but it is her only hope for regaining some quality of life and mobility.
