Support Miranda Painter

Miranda has been having on going knee pain since the beginning of the year but we didn't think anything of it because it never stayed. In October she really noticed that she could hardly walk on her knee because it hurt so bad and on December 7th they discovered that Miranda had a tumor on the bottom 1/3 of her femur.  She was diagnosed on December 16th with B-cell lymphoma. We went up to Rochester again the next day for next steps and she had an open biopsy taken on Friday. They were able to take a larger chunk of her bone in order to genetically test the tumor to find out what subtype of cancer she has in order to find the best treatment plan. We are awaiting the news in order to start treatment but it’ll still be a couple weeks before they know and we can start. The waiting game is long and anxious but she’s ready to start getting after it. As many of you know this past year has been very hard with mom being diagnosed with lung cancer in September and passing in May. It’s her and I now and we know that this is going to be a hard journey for us both but harder for Miranda than any of us know. She’s strong and so is the support group behind her, this journey will be long and though but we know we got this. Any support helps even if it is just a prayer, well wishes, or good thoughts it all means just as much. We will keep posting updates throughout this journey on her caring bridge page.
