Support Miss Pope During Her Time of Need

My name is Kristen Brunell and I am a teacher in Arizona. I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friend Stephanie Pope, who is also a teacher that has impacted the lives of countless students here in Arizona. If you do not have the pleasure of knowing Stephanie, she is an incredible teacher who inspires students, and other educators alike, with her passion for learning and student achievement. Beyond the classroom though, Stephanie is also an inspiration for any person with limitations, or struggles to overcome. Stephanie has Muscular Dystrophy and has been in a wheelchair for most of her life. Despite her physical limitations Stephanie has defied the odds, broken stereotypes and proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that her disability can’t keep her from making a difference in the lives of others. Throughout her years in the classroom Stephanie has helped students to see their own potential, and has helped them to meet personal and academic goals in the classroom and beyond.

Recently, Stephanie was involved in an accident that has left her hospital bound while she heals. Unfortunately, her injuries have impacted her so greatly that she is unable to work and her paid leave days are coming to an end. Now is the time for us to rally around someone who has rallied for others without hesitation.
