Support Miss Susan (Byrd)

Our Aunt, Susan Byrd, was involved in a tragic car accident on the night of November 21st and sustained life-threatening injuries. Thanks to the quick action of the EMT and the close proximity to the hospital, Susan was able to undergo life-saving emergency surgery.

 

Although doctors are encouraged by her progress, she remains in the Trauma ICU in critical but stable condition. In recent days, she has been able to speak a few words, but is suffering from a lot of pain and distress. Susan's journey ahead will be challenging and her recovery time is unknown.

 

As a small business owner, Susan navigated through difficult months of the pandemic and was able to keep her business open for the community of Kansas City, Kansas. She has shown her strength and resilience before, and we know she will continue to do that through this adversity as well.

 

Many of her friends, family, community members, students and clients have reached out wanting to help. It's been heartwarming to see the amount of people express their care and concern and hear stories of many who have been positively impacted by Susan in some way. Any funds collected will go directly to Susan to support her medical care and rehabilitation.
