Support MNC skiers at Junior Nationals!

Tax deductible
After a season of striving together on the ski trails, striding and gliding toward goals, and becoming closer as friends and teammates, Team New England has been named for the US Ski and Snowboard Junior National Championship. This event takes place March 8th - 15th out at the Soldier Hollow Nordic Center in Midway, Utah (site of the 2002 and 2034 Winter Olympics!).

MNC is excited to have a strong group of athletes representing the club at these races, and we’re hoping you will consider donating to help offset some of the significant costs on the logistics side of a trip like this.

The per person cost for this trip is $3300, which does NOT include airfare ($600-$800) or race uniforming ($350). Donations to this fundraiser will be divided evenly among the athletes below!

Mansfield Nordic Club skiers Acadia Enman, James Langan, Mia Gorman, Anders Linseisen, Niko Cuneo, Mia Gorman, Astrid Longstreth, and Jorgen Pirrung are looking for your support! Here are some of their stories, in their own words:

Jorgen Pirrung (U16)
I am a first year U16 and I ski with MNC. I was just named to the New England Junior National Team and I am so excited to travel to Soldier Hollow to compete with some of the best skiers my age in the nation. I am excited to do this alongside my teammates and friends and have an opportunity to make new friends who share my passion for skiing. This is such an amazing opportunity, but I also understand the reality of the financial burden of a trip like this. Thank you for considering supporting me in making this trip a reality.

Jonah Gorman (U18)
Going to Nordic Ski Junior Nationals last year was the highlight of my season. I’m very excited to be going again, and grateful for the opportunity to test my skills against the best in the country. Donations will help the team with travel, lodging, race fees, and coaching. Thank you for your support!

Acadia Enman (U16)
I am super excited to have qualified for Junior Nationals at Soldier Hollow in Utah. I love to ski and it’s a goal of mine to compete with the fastest skiers in races like this so that I can become a better skier myself. If you’re able to support me and my teammates by donating, it would be a huge help so we could get out to Utah for the chance to compete at this level.

Astrid Longstreth (U16)
I’m so grateful to have this opportunity to race at JN’s! I think it will be a really special experience, and I’m really excited. I also know that it is a large expense to ask of me and my teammates, so any donation to support our skiing will help! Thank you for supporting me and my team to compete in this amazing competition. It will be an experience and memory that will last throughout our lifetimes.

Anders Linseisen (U20)
This event is not just a race—it's a chance to challenge myself against the best skiers in the country, represent New England, and take my skiing to the next level. Competing at Nationals will help me grow as an athlete and open doors for future opportunities in the sport I love. However, travel, race fees, and equipment costs add up, and I need your support to make this dream a reality! Any contribution, big or small, will help me get to the start line. Thank you for believing in me and supporting my journey!

Mia Gorman (U16)
Watching team New England race at JNs in Lake Placid last year was very inspiring, and qualifying this year became a huge goal for me. I can’t wait to represent both MNC and New England in Utah. This is a unique opportunity for kids in our sport, but it is very expensive. Any donations will go a long way to helping with the costs. Thanks for any contribution!

James Langan (U16)
This event is important to me because this trip has been a personal goal of mine. Our whole team has worked really hard and I’m looking forward to meeting skiers from outside of New England.

Niko Cuneo (U18)
This will be my second time competing at Junior Nationals. Two years ago I had the opportunity to compete on the National circuit for the first time in Fairbanks Alaska, and I’m so grateful for it. I’m especially thankful for the friends I made. Between card games and sledding on bone-shattering ice obstacle courses, the common interests and passions I shared with the people I met led to connections that I couldn’t have anticipated. Now I have the opportunity to compete in Soldier Hollow, Utah, with the strongest and most supportive team called New England, and I can’t wait to go race my fastest, and share an awesome experience with teammates from Mansfield Nordic Club that I’ve skied with all throughout the year. I really appreciate anything that will make this trip possible for me and my team! Go Pugs!
