Beautiful story by my niece .
Warm regards everyone, my name is Chantrear Pheap and I appreciate you taking the time to read a little story about our beloved Grandma. She's had a long and hard fight with pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately, her condition has taken a turn and she’s taken her last breath. We just need a little help sending her home.
Moeun Chhom is survived by her 6 kids and all of her grandchildren. Moeun arrived in the States in August 1982, after surviving the war in Cambodia where she lost her husband in 1977 and her son in 1978. Through her trials and tribulations, she fought hard to get freedom for her and her children. She traveled from Cambodia through Thailand's refugee camp Kawedang, and then to the Philippines, picking up the language and culture. She learned to adapt no matter where she lived.
Moeun is our family's gem; I would even say she's a national treasure. She was accepting of everyone, and her love was unconditional. She loved cooking authentic traditional Khmer cuisines. She loved gardening, quality time with her family, and also dancing. She lit up every room she walked in, and her energy is unmatchable.
Thank you for listening to our story about our beloved grandmother. All donations will be used towards funeral costs and expenses. May her story continue on through us.
