Support Mona Through Breast Cancer

Hey there! My name is Reina Floyd. I am creating this campaign on behalf of my dear friend, Mona Elleithee, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.

Mona, a mother of two, is a 20 year veteran educator with 17+ years experience in public schools before transitioning full time into her current role as founder and school equity strategist of Renewed Harmony in early 2020. As a self-employed mother of two, Mona has had to make a lot of tough financial decisions. She actually took a pay cut and went without benefits in order to serve schools across the state of South Carolina. So she had to pivot to purchase health insurance right after her diagnosis adding a premium she had not budgeted for. As a small business owner, her income is never promised and she doesn't have the security or benefits that working for a school district affords. Before this diagnosis, Mona was debt-free with the exception of student loans.

As an educator Mona has positively impacted the lives of thousands of children and adults. I know that we can help alleviate the unnecessary stress of this financial burden while Mona is undergoing treatment and healing from breast cancer.
