Support Austin Students' Journey to D.C.

I am fundraising for the class my daughter teaches to help them on their class trip to Washington, D.C.

My daughter's school attempts to remove barriers to accessing college and college-readiness by providing ACT prep classes, ACT exams, AP exams, financial aid assistance, and college tours, all free of charge.

Because of COVID and planning difficulties, my daughter's 11th grade students have not been on a Field Lesson, a college tour and trip away from home, at all during high school.

This year, the 11th grade team was tasked with organizing a Field Lesson to Washington D.C. for students, and has been working tirelessly to make it happen for them. Allowing the students to visit college campuses outside of Texas helps build their college-going identity, and gives them the information and motivation they need to dream bigger, aim higher, and perhaps take the chance to apply to schools that they might never have thought of before.

The flights and hotels have been paid for; all that is left to fundraise for is food costs, so every dollar goes to feeding the kids on the trip! I would hate for their class trip to be cancelled because of this, so please help us make it happen for the kids!
