Support Monty Brown's Stroke Recovery Journey
Donation protected
On Sunday, May 12, my dad Monty Brown suffered from a Ischemic stroke. He was taken to Adena regional Hospital where they ended up flying him to Ohio State Medical Center. He spent a few days in ICU, then was then moved to the Brain and spine center. The stroke itself affected the right side of his body. His whole right-side of his body was paralyzed and he also could not talk. Daily we are seeing improvements but he is still struggling with paralysis in his right arm. His speech is returning but he is still struggling with Non-Fluent Aphasia. His recovery is going to be long and slow. After he leaves Ohio State he will be moved to an intense rehabilitation center where they will start the work on his recovery. I am reaching out and asking for financial help for my parents in this time of need. My mom is having to drive over an hour one way to spend the day with him while he is at Ohio State. The rehabilitation center is also over an hour away from their house where she will also have to travel daily to aid in his rehabilitation. Not only do they have the added expenses of traveling to and from the hospital and rehabilitation center but the bill's do not stop just because there was a medical emergency. First and foremost we are asking everyone for their prayers and if you could help financially that would be an added blessing.
All monies donated will cover travel expenses to and from the hospital and rehabilitation facility. Help with bills if needed and due to the severity of the stroke there is going to have to be some home improvements done to help my dad with his day to day living.
