Support Mordecai's Journey to a Loving Family

Mordecai needs your help! For the past 2 years, Rachel and Cole have been fostering a relationship with a 5 year old boy named Mordecai, a child in Rachel's Pre-K class with the intention of adopting him out of foster care by winter 2024. Whelp. His circumstances have changed and he is no longer able to stay at his current foster home. Due to behavioral issues, his next stop is a state funded institution. (all of which are coping mechanisms he has developed due to past trauma and neglect.) He's a very bright, resilient kid who just needs a stable, loving home. Where better than with us, on our farm!

Last year in the school garden he made a wish before blowing on a dandelion that he could come live at Rachel's house forever. We were hoping for more time to prepare for him, but life threw us a curveball and now we are asking for your help!

Immediately, He needs furniture, clothes, shoes, toys, books, sensory swing, food, stools, learning supplies

also need:

-another car. (Cole's work van has no seats and is not suitable or safe for a child or myself to drive which leaves us to 1 car, stranding them while I'm at work 1 hr away.)

-outdoor aerial acrobatics set up. he is AMAZING

-EDUCATION. He will not thrive in a traditional public school setting for kindergarten next year. We are going to need private school or home school.

Mordecai is in a very fast, fragile transition and Anything you can give will help our new family.
