Support Mountain Communities Digging Out of The Mud

I’m Mindy Barrett, a local of the North Carolina mountains. Right now, I’m doing literally EVERYTHING in my power to pull the communities of NC and TN out of the devastation left by Hurricane Helene. The destruction is heartbreaking, but it is no match for the resilience of the people here.

My team and I have been working around the clock, delivering critical supplies and solutions like extremely scarce baby formula, short term housing, medical supplies, and even helicopter fuel. I’m honored to be supporting 7 Search and Recovery Teams as well as SAR Command. I'll be providing home-cooked meals, helping with admin, organization, procurement of safety gear, and transforming my home into SAR HQ

These mountains are my home, and the people here are my family. I see their struggles every day; it's more than anyone should have to face. I’m doing all I can to help—but none of us can do it alone.
