Show Your Support for Mr. Neal

To know Luke Neal is to be inspired.

His gift for teaching and passion for helping others is unmatched. He connects with his students in a way that not many educators can, and pushes them to be the best version of themselves. Khalia, a former student, wrote in a note to him, "Thank you for not only teaching but guiding and being a mentor to others. Your impact is seen and felt...Every student you've taught loves you." Another former student, Kevin, dedicated his high school graduation pictures to Mr. Neal, stating, "You believed in me when other teachers and students didn't, and you pushed me to do better. Til this day I still call people 'Good Sir' and listen to a little John Meyer."

Over his 17 years in the classroom, Luke has raised thousands of dollars to support his students; from field trips to classroom incentives to clothing and shoes, Mr. Neal is dedicated to providing his students with positive learning experiences both in and out of the classroom.

Fourteen years ago, Luke began feeling tired and feverish; within weeks, he was in a coma from liver failure. After weeks, he received a liver transplant and began a long road to recovery (you can read more about his journey in this article ). A few months ago, Mr. Neal again began feeling sick; he has been diagnosed with Stage 3 liver disease and is back on the transplant list.

Now is our chance to help Mr. Neal, to pay it forward. The funds raised on his behalf will be used to cover medical expenses, cover unpaid sick leave, and maybe even help check something off his bucket list!
