Y’all, we lost a real one. Ms. Linda Ramey just 67 years young, full of life, and loved by everyone in Frederick, MD unexpectedly passed, leaving us all heartbroken and wondering how we’ll ever fill the hole left behind.

Ms. Linda isn’t just loved she is a legend. She was the queen of bingo, a Dallas Cowboys fan (for better or worse), and someone who could make you laugh until you cried. Her favorite color was teal, and she had a thing for seashells because, of course, Ms. Linda could find beauty in the simplest things. If you knew her, you know she didn’t sugarcoat anything, but she’d still be the first one to show up for you, love you strongly, and make you feel like you belonged.

Ms. Linda didn’t just love big she loved loud. She adored her family and made sure everyone knew how proud she was of them. Whether it was a story about their accomplishments or just bragging about how cute they are, Ms. Linda could go on for days.

For her grandson, Javontay, Ms. Linda was everything. Joining the military was his way of showing her how much she inspired him to be a better man. And Ms. Linda? Oh, she loved to brag about him to anyone and everyone whether they wanted to hear it or not! She’d call him all the time, reminding him how much she missed him and couldn’t wait to see him. She didn’t know he was planning a surprise visit for Christmas this year… but now, instead of surprising her, he’s coming home to lay her to rest .

Ms. Linda was larger than life, but unfortunately, funerals come with larger than life expenses. And let’s be real Ms. Linda would’ve had some words about how ridiculous these costs are! So we’re asking her friends, family, and the Frederick community to help us give her the farewell she deserves.
