Support Ms. Xia's Family After Eaton Fire

Our names are Jing Gao and Anqi Deng, and we are Mandarin dual immersion teachers at Field Elementary School in the Pasadena Unified School District. We are reaching out to request your support for our colleague, friend, and fellow 1st-grade teacher, Ms. Xia, and her family as they face an unimaginable loss caused by the Eaton Fire, which destroyed their home and belongings.

Just a few weeks ago, Ms. Xia and her husband were thrilled to move into their new home in Altadena. Tragically, the fire devastated their house and all their possessions, leaving them with nothing but each other.

Ms. Xia has been a cherished member of the Field community since 2015, serving in various roles before becoming a 1st-grade Mandarin dual immersion teacher in 2022. Her dedication to teaching and her love for her students shine through in all she does, from meticulously preparing lessons to fostering meaningful learning experiences in the classroom.
