Support Muslim Healthcare Chaplains & Candidates
Tax deductible
Dear friends,
We wish you a Ramadan Mubarak to you and your loved ones!
As Wellspring Chaplaincy Initiative, it is our joy to announce that we are launching this year's fundraising.
Since 2019, Wellspring, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, has come a long way in fulfilling its mission of supporting Muslim Healthcare Chaplains & Candidates. Thanks to our generous donors, we were able to help individuals in their professional development as chaplains and aim to increase our reach this year. We wholeheartedly believe that one of the best ways of contributing to an individual's life is to support them in their personal and professional growth.
Healthcare chaplaincy is a new profession among Muslims in the U.S. The number of trained Muslim chaplains is very low compared to chaplains of other faiths, yet there is a growing interest as more people choose to provide spiritual support to those in hospitals and other healthcare institutions.
Research demonstrated that 87% of patients would call spirituality important in their lives and that there is a positive relationship between spirituality and health and well-being.
Your support for healthcare chaplains is a great way to live out our beloved Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) practice of visiting the sick in today’s world, he said, "He who visits the sick continues to remain in the fruit garden of Paradise until he returns."
Now, we invite you to listen to Ch. Kuaybe Noor, a chaplain who serves at Memorial Hermann Hospital. https://youtu.be/YEIPV1fxIS4
On behalf of our board of directors, I thank you in advance for your generosity and unbroken trust in us!
