It is with immense sorrow that we share with a heavy heart the devastating news of our dear friend Muthukumar Karuppasamy’s passing away. Unfortunately, when his family Nareshsanjay and Umadevi were in India, Muthu quietly passed away on July 4th at the age of 47 on his couch. He was found sitting with a remote in his hand at peace with no struggle for life. Muthu was one of the strongest people that his family and friends have ever known and had no health conditions or family history of illness.
Muthu was a man of principle, spending his entire life giving more than what he has taken from this world. Everyone can recall a time when Muthu arrived quickly to help, but no one can think of scenario where he ever asked for anything. Muthu was such a reliable friend, named as guardian for several of our wills, and a man whose only desire is to help others. Muthu has also taught us to not have any unexpressed feelings and unsolved disputes with loved ones. His compassion, spirituality, and dedication will always be remembered by everyone who has been touched by his life.
Naresh and Uma had lived a very modest life with Muthu in Freehold, NJ. Uma, a woman of few words who wouldn't hurt a fly, has followed Muthu's footsteps of principle, always supported him for all his endeavors to help others. Not only are they father and son, Naresh and Muthu are also best friends, joking around with each other constantly. Naresh is just like his father, a great friend who helps without complaint. Naresh is equally talented both academically and atheletically.
Muthu is known spiritually as a beloved guruswamy of Ayappa. For all of his friends, Muthu was loyal and dependable who will not hesitate to be there for you in a time of need. In the professional world he was a compassionate and honorable leader. Among the kids, Muthu was known as the most loving "Muthu Mama" who brought joy and laughter to every kid in the room. Muthu was a "banyan tree" for his extended family, taking financial care of his brothers, sisters, and their family in India.
While we try to deal with this unfathomable and sudden loss of our beloved Muthu, there is so much uncertainty and financial stress that his wife & son are trying to handle. At this trying time, we must stand together in unity to support Uma & Naresh.
As a man of principle, Muthu has never accepted a single penny from anyone and if he was still around in flesh & blood, he would slap us on our faces to raise funds for his family, but we know this is what Muthu would do to help any one of us. Currently family's green card yet to be approved and there is a pressing need to show the financial solvency and sustainability of survival per the laws of US. We must rally together to not only secure their financial needs but also for all friends & families to come together and support each other. We believe he will watch us in peace that his family has been taken care of as a result of his own good deeds.
