Support My Battle with Internal Infection
Donation protected
I've had an internal infection for a year and a half because I can't afford access to good medical care, and after a recent hospital visit, I'm $22,000+ in medical debt. My situation is sensitive right now, and they may turn me away if I have to go back to the hospital again without paying my debt.
I am struggling financially with just trying my hardest to stay alive. My first experience with the medical field involved a highly sexist male doctor who told me my gallbladder issues were me overreacting to period cramps, even though my period had been done and over with for a week at that time. Due to that doctor's negligence, I almost went septic and died. Now, I am having to go back in to get an infection taken care of in my stomach and intestinal tracts, which my current doctors said was caused by improper procedure follow-up from my surgery by my previous doctors. I am lost and do not know what to do to keep myself alive anymore besides going deeper into medical debt. Please, anything will help me, and I greatly appreciate the kindness.
