With profound sadness, we announce the passing of my father, Vincent Fitzroy Sylvester. Known as ‘Teddy,’ ‘The Malibu,’ and ‘Jumbo,’ he was a beloved presence in our lives—cherished by friends, family, neighbors, and the community.

After battling multiple cancers (leukemia and prostate cancer) for the past 10 years, along with graft-versus-host disease, he succumbed to complications from a fungal infection in his lungs on March 27, 2025, at 10:15 PM.

We are currently preparing to hold a service in Brooklyn, New York, before sending him home to Grenada for his final farewell.

The overwhelming costs associated with these arrangements have placed a significant financial strain on our family. I am reaching out for any support possible to help cover the funeral expenses as we navigate this difficult time.

The estimated cost of transporting my father home, covering funeral arrangements, and managing other related expenses is $10,000 or more. I hope to ease this burden so our family can focus on healing and celebrating his life.
