Support My Gaza Family's Survival Amid War
Donation protected
My name is Abdalrahim Abuwarda, I am originally from Gaza, a student in the United States, reaching out with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit. Today, I am seeking your support for my beloved family who has been caught in the devastating war in Gaza. My wife, Eman, and our three children, Faisal, Jawad, and Rita, have found temporary refuge in Egypt, escaping the immediate dangers of war but facing new challenges every day. Meanwhile, my family and my wife’s family back in Gaza are living in constant fear and uncertainty, with basic necessities becoming a luxury they can hardly afford. As a student with limited financial means, I am unable to provide the support they desperately need. This is why I turn to you.
The Challenges
Life in Egypt: A Safe Haven with New Trials
Eman and our children endured 120 days of war in Gaza. They recently moved to Egypt in a period marked by hope for safety but plagued by hardship. With the UNRWA cutting my wife's salary due to her displacement, they are struggling to afford even the most basic living expenses. The psychological toll of fleeing their home and adapting to a new environment without a stable source of income has been immense.
Surviving Rafah: Amidst Conflict and Scarcity
My wife’s family in Rafah faces the dire reality of living in a conflict zone. After they were forced to leave their home in the norther part of Gaza, their rented home in Rafah, a temporary shelter, demands $500 monthly, a sum they cannot meet without an income. The scarcity of food and water has not only heightened their survival struggle but also the cost of living, making each day a fight for sustenance.
Endurance in Northern Gaza: A Test of Human Spirit
My family in northern Gaza is a testament to resilience in the face of destruction. Their home, partially damaged by missiles, shelters my parents, siblings, and their families, totaling over 30 individuals. The loss of my father’s business, a construction material store, and the inflated prices of basic goods have pushed them into a corner of desperation and debt.

Your Support: More Than Just Donations
Your generosity can:
- Ensure a family doesn’t sleep hungry or cold.
- Provide a child with the chance to learn and play.
- Help rebuild a semblance of home amidst ruins.
As a student far from home, my ability to support my family is limited. Your donation bridges this gap, allowing me to extend the help they critically need. I commit to full transparency, with regular updates on how your contributions are making a tangible difference.
How You Can Help
Your donation, no matter the size, will bring us one step closer to ensuring the safety and well-being of our loved ones during these tumultuous times. Here's how your generous contributions will make a difference:
- $50 can provide a family with food and water for a day.
- $200 can cover the cost of medical supplies or emergency needs for a month.
- $1,200 can secure a month's rent for a safe living space for one of the families.
Conclusion
Thank you for considering support for my family’s survival and well-being. Each donation, big or small, is a beacon of hope in their lives. Please share this campaign and help spread the word. In these trying times, your kindness and generosity are their lifeline.
Together, we can bring light to my family amidst the darkness of war. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
