Support My Grandfather’s Fight Against Cancer

Hi everyone,

I am reaching out to share the story of my grandfather, the most inspiring and selfless person I have ever known.

Recently, he was diagnosed with stage 3 throat cancer. He’s now undergoing daily radiation treatments and weekly chemotherapy. While these treatments are essential to his fight, they are physically and emotionally draining. On top of this, he’s also battling dementia, which has made everything even harder. He often feels confused and forgetful, which only adds to the stress of this already overwhelming situation.

My grandfather is my greatest inspiration and the foundation of everything good I’ve learned about kindness, love, and selflessness. He’s more than just my grandfather—he’s my greatest role model and the person who has shaped so much of who I am. His quiet strength, unwavering generosity, and boundless love have touched the lives of everyone around him. He’s the kind of person who gives without question, loves without limit, and always puts others before himself, no matter how tired or worn he might be. Whether it was caring for my grandmother through her lifelong struggle with severe rheumatoid arthritis or simply being the first to lend a hand to a friend or neighbor in need, my grandfather has lived his life in service to others.

To me, he’s the embodiment of what it means to live with purpose, compassion, and resilience. The lessons he’s taught me go far beyond words—they’re in the way he lives his life every day. Through him, I’ve learned the true meaning of kindness, how to give without expecting anything in return, and the importance of always standing by the people you love. He’s shown me that strength isn’t just about overcoming challenges, but about showing up for others, even when you’re facing your own struggles. Every day, I aspire to live by the values he’s instilled in me, to be as selfless, loving, and strong as he has been.

After a lifetime of giving so much to others, it’s time for us to give back to him.

Unfortunately, due to his declining health, he can no longer work, and the financial burden of his treatments is overwhelming. Between cancer, dementia, and my grandmother’s inability to drive or help with many daily tasks, my grandfather now needs the kind of care and support he has spent his life giving to others.

I’m currently away at school and can’t be there in person, which makes me feel helpless. This GoFundMe is my way of supporting him and showing him that he is not alone. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward his medical expenses. These donations will give him the chance to focus on what matters most—fighting cancer and finding moments of peace in this journey.
