Support My Journey: Overcoming Kidney Failure
Donation protected
Hello to my family and friends,
Many of you may not be aware that sadly, I am experiencing kidney failure. Over one year ago, I was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease. In order to survive, I must be connected to a dialysis machine for four hours, three times a week. You may think I shouldn't be worried if dialysis is available to keep me alive, but I must tell you that dialysis is not a long-term solution. My health will continually decline, and dialysis will not be enough to survive.
Finding a living donor is my best option for a second chance at life. Many don't know that a person can live a healthy life with only one kidney. If interested, you can learn more about living donations via the Americantransplantfoundation.org, USMClivingdonor.com, or MUSChealth.org/livingdonor.
This is not a call for you to give me your kidney. It is a simple request for you to understand my story and help spread the word about how living donations can save my life and the lives of many others. Thank you for reading my story. Feel free to share it. Any donations will be used for cost of transplant and care. Much appreciated, be blessed!
