I walked away from an abusive marriage to save my life and rebuild.
Today, I’m working—but still struggling just to keep housing, food, and transportation stable.
In March of last year, I left an abusive marriage in order to protect myself and start over.
During the court process that followed, my two children were placed with my former spouse. At the time, I did not have legal representation, and key evidence was not properly submitted or considered. I am now working to stabilize my life so I can rebuild, secure proper legal support, and continue advocating for my children.
I am currently employed, earning $15 an hour, but I am struggling to cover basic living expenses and essential debts while also meeting ongoing obligations.
Right now, I am simply trying to stay stable enough to keep going.
Monthly Needs & Debt
Debt:
$13,000 vehicle loan
$1,000 emergency personal loan
Monthly expenses:
$500 rent
$500 utilities
$250 vehicle payment
$800 child support
Gas for work
Food
$45 phone bill
Even while working full-time, my income is not enough to cover these essentials consistently.
Why I’m Asking for Help
This fundraiser is to help me maintain stability after leaving abuse and navigating a difficult legal situation without representation.
Funds will go toward:
Keeping housing and utilities stable
Maintaining transportation to work
Covering basic living needs
Preventing further financial collapse while I rebuild
Any support helps me stay stable enough to continue working and rebuilding my life step by step.
If you cannot give, sharing this campaign means just as much.
Closing
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I am grateful for every prayer, share, and act of support during this rebuilding season.
