Support my Mom, Yahira: A Survivor Facing New Challenges
Donation protected
I’m reaching out to ask for your love, prayers, and support for my mom, Yahira (Dora), who is currently hospitalized due to serious health complications.
She is a cancer survivor. She has type 2 insulin-dependent diabetes that has become life-threatening, along with stenosis in both her carotid and renal arteries, which are also life-threatening. As a result of these conditions, she has developed congestive heart failure. She will need to have surgery to remove the plaque from her arteries, but she is not well enough yet. We have to get her there, step by step.
This has been an incredibly difficult time for her, both physically and emotionally. Seeing her in the hospital has been heartbreaking, and while she’s receiving medical care, what she truly needs right now is to feel surrounded by love and support from family and friends.
Our family is small, and we’re used to handling things quietly and privately. We’ve always tried to push through difficult times on our own. But this situation has made me realize that we can’t—and shouldn’t—go through this alone. My mom has always been the one to take care of others, and now it’s our turn to take care of her.
My mom has had to stop working due to her condition, and while we are in the process of applying for disability aid, it is a long and uncertain wait. In the meantime, medical expenses, household bills, and everyday necessities are piling up, making this journey even harder.
I'm setting up this GoFundMe to help in two ways:
1. Show Her Love & Support – Being in the hospital can be lonely, and I want to gather messages, small gifts, or anything that can bring her comfort. Even a simple note or video message can make a big difference.
2. Help Cover Expenses – Any contributions will go toward medical bills, essential living expenses, and anything else she needs while she is unable to work.
If you’re able to donate, share this fundraiser, or send a message of encouragement, I would be incredibly grateful. Every bit of love and support means the world to my mom and will help ease the burden and bring beauty during this challenging time.
Thank you for being part of her support system. We appreciate you more than words can say.
