Hi, I'm John and Welcome to my journey..

On the 14th February 2023 i was brutally beaten in Clarendon Park Salford and left for dead and i now have life changing injuries which has devasted my family and the whole community.

The attack has robbed a father of his existence. A loving, caring, gentle and generous man loved by all in his community. John would do anything for anyone and was always known for his big smile and cheeky demeanour. John has 3 children and a loving family all of whom are ruined by this attack and appeal to the communities John was apart of all of his life to help them bring some closure and peace to this horrific event that has changed the lives of all of Johns family forever.

The attack has left John with life changing injuries and has destroyed his family. Nearing 60 years of age John was a victim of a brutal attack leaving him serverly brain damaged with very little quality of life which appears to have a fatal intention.

We were used to seeing my dad full of life and energy, the life and soul of the party, but now the man left in that hospital bed is not my dad. The shell of a person left behind by this attack does not and will never resemble the John we all knew and loved, his life is over and we have to witness his slow painful demise right before our eyes.

This could have happened to anyone, anyones dad, son or brother but it happened to us and we need your help to bring the person who shattered a whole family to justice.

I am stil in hospital in rehabilitation for my brain injury. I am awaiting a prognosis to see what my permant disabilities are. I have severe brain damage but we don't know the extent just yet.

My Daughter is trying her best to get me the best level of care and is hoping to help pay for private care asap as I am currently having problems in hospital due to neglet and safeguarding issues amd my daughter is worried this will deter my recovery or maybe something more dire. I have had 3 "accidents " and 2 of them have resulted in head injurys. There is little communication from the hospital to my daughter when she is constantly visiting amd ringing to advocate for me but she is being dismissed amd ignored on a daily basic even tho she is my next if kin. I fell off the toilet 4 weeks ago amd banged my head but my daughter was only told today is passing conversation. This is a blatantly breach of legislation, safeguarding , breaking rules and protocols put im plave to protect your basic human rights, zero communication and potentially neglet. Not only am I already severely brain damaged and cannot even make my own decisions but this is now having a detrimentaleffect on my daughter who is a victim of domestic violence and lives miles away from where I am, she suffers with servere mental health issues and has currently had to deal with the crisis team and now referred back to mental services . I cannot eat by myself or go to the toilet by myself and I will need someone to care for me 24/7 as my balance isn't great and I can't even walk myself. I am seriously disabled and I am currently in a rehabilitation hospital and desperately trying to get transfered or discharged closer to my only person who can support me( my daughter) and make sure I get all the extra help I need. I am not sure as of yet what my next move will be.. eg nursing home/residential living its just too soon to say but I do know i have little to zero capacity and will need someone to do everything for me for the rest of my life. My Daughter wants the best chance of recovery for me and as i cannot advovate for myself and will never be able to, my daughter is my voice.

My daughter does work and she is saving up also but this will help support her more .
