Support My Transition to IMG Academy
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Adam Lukosevicius, and I’m an 18-year-old basketball player from the UK chasing the dream of becoming a professional athlete.
From being one of the weakest players on my Year 7 school team to now holding a national championship, representing my country, and earning a partial scholarship to one of the best basketball academies in the world—IMG Academy—my journey has been all about grit, sacrifice, and relentless work.
I trained daily before school and pushed myself when nobody was watching consistently since I was 13. Over the years, that work has led to some of my biggest milestones:
EABL National Champion with Barking Abbey Academy
Top 3-point shooter in the UK ( During the mid season shooting 62.5% at academy level)
Represented England at the ISF Junior Olympics (3v3, Bahrain) – placed 3rd
Offered a majority scholarship to IMG Academy in Florida, after being scouted during a US tour with Barking Abbey
I’ve worked so hard to get to this point—but there’s still a financial gap I need help covering.
Why I’m Fundraising
The scholarship I’ve been awarded is partial, covering a significant portion of tuition, but not all. There are additional costs including:
Remaining tuition fees
Travel to the U.S.
Living essentials as I relocate from the UK to Florida
I’m currently seeking to raise £10,000 to help cover some of these remaining expenses.
Why It Matters
IMG Academy is a place that develops the world’s best athletes. For me, this is the opportunity of a lifetime—to train, grow, compete, and take one step closer to turning my lifelong dream into a reality.
Every donation, big or small, will have a direct impact. Even sharing this helps more than you know.
From Marshland High School and Kings Lynn Basketball Club starting in the small town of Wisbech to then working my way to Barking Abbey which is regarded as the UKs top Basketball academy to now an opportunity to go IMG Academy a top sporting school globally—this journey’s been fuelled by belief. I hope you’ll be part of it.
Thank you for reading and believing in me. Let’s make this happen.
With gratitude,
Adam Lukosevicius
