Support my trip to the World Junior Championships 2025

Hello, I’m Michael, I am an 18 year-old squash player from England and I’ve been selected to represent my country at the World Junior Squash Championships this July in Cairo, Egypt. This is the biggest event in junior squash - and it’s my first chance and final opportunity to represent England internationally as a junior. I’m incredibly proud to be wearing the national shirt, and I’m reaching out for your support to help make this dream a reality.

Growing up, squash was always a part of my life. I grew up in a squash family, playing for fun from a young age as one of six children. Over the years, I progressed through county and regional levels, and with a lot of dedication and support, I broke into the top national rankings. It hasn’t always been smooth or easy - but every match, training session and chance on court has brought me closer to this moment. Attending a local state school meant that I had to work hard independently on both studies and training. My school has been extremely supportive throughout my junior career, allowing me to compete all over the country, even with their extremely limited resources.

Why I Need Your Help

Unfortunately, this amazing opportunity comes with significant costs, and I need to cover them myself. These include:

Flights to and from Egypt

Accommodation during the championships

Food and transport in Cairo

Tournament entry fee

To make this trip possible, the costs will roughly amount to £2500+ for the 7 nights I will be staying for the individual event.

What It Means to Me

Playing at the highest level has always been my goal; it's one of my biggest personal achievements. Representing my country on the world stage is the biggest honour I could imagine. This isn’t just a tournament; it’s an accumulation of years of dedication, setbacks, and growth.
