Help support Steven Burgess through this medical journey

Hi, My name is Brittany, alongside my family, we are fundraising to support my Uncle Steven and his medical recovery journey.

Uncle Steve had a stroke February 12th, he was rushed to RVH where he was given a clot buster to try to help reverse effects. That night he was transferred to Toronto Western and was diagnosed with a blocked corodic artery in his neck and was given an operation to put in a stint, the clot is his brain was resolved by the medication provided (thank god), on February 21st he was then moved to RVH where he was diagnosed with expressive aphasia.

Uncle Steven is now doing extensive rehab to try to improve his communication and memories along with independently walking and eating.

For anyone who knows Uncle Steven, he is hard working, full of life and a determined genuine soul who has a lot of love to still share with his family, friends & loved ones.

Any support is so greatly appreciated as he navigates the months ahead with the unknown and hope for wellness and recovery. The donations will be utilized to provide financial support as he will be unable to work for the foreseeable future, his additional medical/treatment costs and any assisting devices to hopefully have him back home and comfortable to keep working towards getting back to himself. I am sure there are many more unexpected costs throughout this journey that we are still unaware of, so again, anything helps and is greatly appreciated.
