Support My Volunteering Work in Kenya
Donation protected
My name is Evie , and in June next year I will be embarking on a life changing volunteer trip to Kenya. As some of you may know, in January I took a trip to Mumbai (India) to use sports as a means to encourage children who live in the poorer communities to gain an education via The Oscar Foundation. It was truly a life changing experience which has sparked a passion for using my personal privilege in life to help others who are not as fortunate as I am.
This year , I have been presented with the incredible opportunity to travel to Nakuru , Kenya with African Adventures to support their work on The Walk Centre.
The Walk Centre is a not-for-profit organisation committed to helping the children and families of the Hilton slum area in Nakuru, Kenya and aims to provide children with the basic human right to education, regular meals and offer them an alternative way of life.
I will be travelling with Chichester College group who have been key supporters in The Walk Centre project for the last 15 years. From a young age , in primary school assemblies where Chichester College have come in , I have aspired to go on this trip and help these children better their lives with my help.
I am planning to fund this project myself through saving monthly from my part time job and raising money where possible. I am willing to complete any jobs or tasks that you need done in return for a small donation towards this project. If you are able to donate , donations towards the project will be gratefully received. The donated funds will be going directly to helping me pay for this trip and any extra funds raised will be going towards school supplies for the children and also donated to African Adventures to help provide further projects and better The Walk Centre.
If you have any questions or enquiries about African Adventures as a charity or The Walk Centre itself and the work it does please feel free to contact me.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my project.
