It's MYNY Bakery here!

We are a family-owned business located in Spanish Harlem. Our dad, Freddy, immigrated from El Salvador when he was younger, and he has been working tirelessly to bring his dream of owning a bakery to fruition. His delicious pastries, which he makes from scratch daily, are known all around the neighborhood, because you can taste the love that he puts into them with every bite. I believe that as good as his baking is, the person that he is, and the care that he has, is what really makes this place special.

MYNY has been a staple of the community, because we genuinely care about each and every person that walks through the door. As a family, our goal is to make our neighbors’ day a little brighter, through a conversation, a smile, or a tasty breakfast, and I’m happy cto say that we’ve created so many meaningful friendships along the way…

But now we need your help!

We have owned this establishment for 13 years, but ever since Covid-19, it’s been a constant battle to keep it alive. Our dad had gotten sick, and we were forced to close, but even then, we were still doing whatever we could to continue bringing you food during the lockdown.

Business was never the same since, but with the recent opening of our night menu, we have seen a light. We are so proud to bring a piece of El Salvador to Manhattan with traditional dishes of our culture (our famous pupusas), and by extending our hours to host events like open mics, live music and comedy shows, as well as birthdays and engagement parties to bring people together.

In spite of our best efforts, we’re still suffering from the repercussions of the pandemic. It’s been a struggle to get back on our feet, and we need as much help as we can to keep it going!

We’ve put our whole hearts into this bakery, and it would make us tremendously sad to have to close the doors for good, especially for my dad, who loves the bakery as he does his sons.
