Support Mytoka Petry's Recovery Journey
Donation protected
July 15th, 2024, more lives than one were altered. Mytoka Petry, a working mother of two, was brutally attacked by 11 dogs while taking a walk with her brother. Mytoka is critical condition on life support in the ICU at OHSU in Portland, Oregon. Her two daughters, Jordyn and Kaliyah, and family are currently at her side. Mytoka sustained serious injuries. She has lost her arm, ear and possibly her eye. Medical bills are the last thing on the families mind, but to ease this stress, I am asking that we form the strong community I know is out there. This is the beginning of a long journey for Mytoka and her babies, we ask for any type of donations to be given to this beautiful family in this trying time. Every dime given to eldest daughter Jordyn and all donations will be allocated accordingly to all her medical bills and rehabilitation care. Mytoka has also suffered some small brian bleeds as well as deep sutures to repair her face and body. With permission from the family, updates will be given when appropriate. We ask that even if you have nothing to give financially, that you keep Mytoka and her family at the root of your thoughts and prayers. We also ask that you respect the privacy of Mytoka and her family at this time. This is an overwhelming time, and we want to make sure that no one feels pressured to respond to messages if not urgent.
Mytoka is a such a light in this dim world. She only sees the absolute best in everyone. If you’ve met her daughters, you’d understand that it is something you’ll find in them as well. She is lively and loves a good joke in uncomfortable situations. To know her, is to love her. She has always been the kind of woman to wipe your tears away one minute and pour love into you after so that you can just sit with her and talk about it. But the one thing that Mytoka has and will continue to hold closest to her heart, are her daughters. She is a mother first and foremost. Mytoka fought for her life to stay another day with her babies, and I think it is our turn to fight for her. Please help us restore the peace of mind for this amazing family. If you are lucky enough to know them all personally as I do, or even blessed enough to have met Mytoka at some point, you know that they wouldn’t hesitate to do the same for you.
