Support Naji and Her Dogs Through Tough Times

Hi, my name is Naji and I am a recent widow. I'm 59 years young, I have 2 loving dogs, and a house I really want to stay in. I've lived here for 31 years, and my late husband was here even longer. We weren't prepared monetarily for his passing in February of 2023, and I was left almost broke once his arrangements were made. Right now, I babysit dogs and take in temporary tenants for my income. Unfortunately, I am currently without tenants, and the dog money doesn't go far enough. I really wanted to find a job outside the house, but the arthritis in my hands and hips makes it hard to even take a cashier job, so I make as much as I can from home. I've pretty much sold everything of value that I have except my furniture in order to stay in my home. I've made it work for a year and a half, and now I only have 9 1/2 months until I collect my survivor's Social Security and I can breathe a little bit.

My cover photo is my late husband and me the day we adopted our puppy Dolly Parton in early 2022. The photo below is my late husband about 3 months before he passed, and both of our pups, Patsy Cline and Dolly Parton. He sure loved those dogs.

The way I figure it, I will need about $4,400 to make it through the next 9.5 months, along with my dog sitting and hopefully a new tenant. The house insurance and taxes will likely take the biggest chunk of that.

I feel uneasy having to ask for money. I've never had to do this and I have tried as hard as I can not to reach this point. I truly need your help and I will be eternally grateful.
