Support Nala's Medical Care

Hello dear community,

I’m reaching out with a humble heart to ask for support for my sweet kitty, Nala. She’s a 15-year-old one-eyed fierce little Siamese who has been my soul companion since I saw her at a shelter 8 years ago. Over the past few months, she has faced multiple emergency health challenges, including a mass on her eye socket, a lesion on her mouth, infections, kidney issues, multiple surgical procedures, and worsening arthritis. Despite everything, she’s still full of sass, resilience, and an abundance of love.

Unfortunately, life has thrown one challenge after another at us. Since moving to Mars Hill, NC, last summer, I’ve been through Hurricane Helen, two car accidents, and now Nala’s urgent medical needs. The hurricane was devastating for our entire area. I spent my time helping community in need, unable to work, and struggled to recover from the financial strain. Just as things were starting to feel a little more stable, Nala’s health declined, and I was in two separate car accidents—one of which happened because I risked an icy mountain road trying to get Nala to surgery she needed.

Nala is truly a soul companion of my heart. She has moved all over the country with me and seen me through some of the most challenging years of my life. As soon as she meets anyone, she climbs into their lap, puts her full body against their heart, and purrs her heart out. I would do anything for her, and now I’m asking for help to give her the care she needs. Any contribution will make a world of difference for us.
