Support Nama during recovery from heart attack .

There is the family you're born into, and then there is your chosen family. I am blessed to have known Nama Morlu since he was a little boy on my brother's pee-wee soccer team. Since that time, he has been part of my family. I call Nama little brother and love him beyond measure! He is a bright light, a positive soul and a dedicated and loving single father to Nama Jr.

This past Monday, July 18th, Nama suffered a cardiac event. He had an emergency procedure placing a stent and was diagnosed with heart disease. He is a young man in his 30s, so this was quite a shock. He is currently hospitalized and being monitored. He is hopeful that he will be discharged soon and can see his son, who is his world!

Once Nama leaves the hospital, he will have a new normal. Limited activity, no work for at least two weeks and home health aides are just a few of the changes he will have to adjust to. He will miss at least three weeks of work without pay and has accrued significant medical expenses, which will continue once he is home. He will need meals, house cleaning services, child care assistance, and any medical help and rehab that his physician prescribes. Any amount you can donate will help alleviate stress and allow him to focus solely on recovery and his son.
