Support NAMI in Honor of a Lost Friend
Tax deductible
Recently, I lost one of my best friends to suicide. They were the happiest person that I knew, and they always managed to bring smiles to the faces of the people around them. Their death came as a surprise to many, as no one really knew the depth of their suffering. I would like to raise money in honor of them, with all proceeds going to NAMI, in hopes that it would help reach those who are silently struggling, too.
NAMI is a non-profit organization that stands for "National Alliance on Mental Illness." Donations to NAMI will support their efforts to educate, advocate, and support those struggling with mental illness, along with their families. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out. It's not too late. Whether it's a friend, a family member, or a professional, you don't have to struggle in silence. You have your whole life left to live, and even if things seem impossible to handle in the moment, there's always the potential for things to get better. And there will always be someone who loves you.
