Support the NBTX 5-6 Navy FF Championship Dream

My name is Will Ferguson, Head Coach of the 5th/6th Grade Navy Flag Football Team in New Braunfels, TX. Our team plays in the Under Armor: Under The Lights Youth Flag Football League, and for those of you that do not know, Under the Lights is a national youth flag football league for kids in Pre-Kindergarten - 8th grade, with the emphasis on promoting a competitive, confidence-building, non-contact experience for both boys and girls of all skill levels.

I am proud to inform you that our team has received an invitation to play in the 2024 UTL Fall National Championships at the Southshore Sportsplex in Apollo Beach, Florida!

Our journey to the National Championships has been nothing short of a comeback story where we started the season 0-3 and came into the Area Playoffs as an underdog. Our kids kept practicing hard and showed up on Gamedays where we then proceeded to compete and win our way through to the Final Four and secured our spot at the National Championships!

As you can imagine, with this tournament taking place during the Christmas break, it is difficult for most families to have additional financial resources to pay for an event like this that will require travel, lodging, and meal expenses. That is why I am starting this GoFundMe to help get our kids, and their immediate families, to the Tournament!

The Tournament will be held at Southshore Sportsplex in Apollo Beach, Florida from December 27th to the 29th. In addition to competing for the National Championship, the kids will get to meet the Tampa Bay Buccaneer affiliates through their Street Team Community Outreach, Cheerleaders, and their Mascot Captain Fear! The event will also feature a Live DJ, Obstacle Courses, and 1v1 Competitions!

This will truly be one of those "Core" memories for our kids that they can look back on when they are older and cherish. Every one of these kids absolutely deserves to go and experience this; they have worked their tails off to get here. I am asking for your assistance and donations so that we can make sure that money is not a reason they can't go.

My goal is to take 10 players and their families, and I have started my initial fundraising goal at $15,000 so that I can give each family $1,500.00 towards their expenses, but more would be absolutely appreciated and utilized.

I have estimated that an average family of 4 will have the following expenses:

Any funds that are raised will be distributed amongst the families, and if we raise more money than is needed to get our team there, I will utilize the additional funds for our seasons to come.
