Support Needed for Family Devastated by Tragic Loss

Dear friends and community,

I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart to share a devastating loss that my family has recently experienced. On Friday, my beloved sister Jessica was tragically killed by a drunk driver. Jessica and I attended an NA meeting together hours before, ate at a good Taco truck, then parted ways for the night. Jessica has been clean/ sober for over 8 years and assisted others in recovery through her employment as an addiction counselor. Jessica has always attempted to do the right thing and help others along the way, our lives and her friends will forever be altered by this senseless act. This sudden and senseless loss has left us shattered and in need of support during this incredibly difficult time.

Compounding the tragedy, my elderly grandparents, who live in Georgia, are now faced with the heartbreaking task of traveling to California to direct the arrangements for my sister. Unfortunately, they are on a limited income and are not in a financial position to cover the costs of this unexpected trip and funeral expenses. They have spent a lifetime caring for their children, then their grandchildren.

I am starting this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to help cover the travel expenses for my grandparents and the costs related to burial arrangements for my sister. Your generous contributions will make a significant difference during this time of immense grief and hardship.
