Support Needed for Moving Expenses

Our family is preparing for a big transition! In July 2022, we will be relocating across the country to western Massachusetts, land of the Nipmuc, Pocumtuc, and Wabanki peoples. For the past 14 years, Matthew and I have lived in Olympia, WA, the traditional territory of the Steh-Chass people of the Squaxin Island Tribe. We were blessed to meet each other, welcome Huckleberry into our family, and form many wonderful relationships here.

 

We are so grateful for this beloved community, and will deeply miss our Olympia family, friends and neighbors. You will all be held close in our hearts, and please do stay in touch!

 

Our desire to be closer to our families of origin is the main motivation for this big change, and we are very excited to be living close to Matthew’s family and to have more ease in visiting my family. We look forward to this new chapter, and welcome your prayers, love and support in this transition.

 

We do need help in covering the cost of shipping our things and traveling. After looking into many options, we will be using a small shipping pod for around $2000. We estimate traveling expenses at $1500, and are factoring in room for gofundme fees and small unexpected costs. Any amount that you can contribute is greatly appreciated!

 

*We are fortunate to have access to community support, and know that there are many, many families and loved ones who are struggling with housing insecurity and do not have this same access. Any funds raised over $2500 (before fees) will go to a local family in struggle who will remain anonymous.
