Support Needed for Rick Cook Sr.'s Final Arrangements

My name is Tara Brand. My brother and I lost our father, Richard (Rick) Cook Sr., unexpectedly on Saturday, November 16. Due to ongoing health conditions and congestive heart failure, he was placed into a nursing facility. Our dad was already disabled and living off of his social security, so as a result, he wasn’t prepared for any end-of-life expenses, and he was behind in his debts at the facility. We are asking for any help we can get to settle these debts and cover the costs for funeral arrangements.

We didn’t get to have much time with our father as we didn’t grow up with him. And we know he didn’t always make the best choices when he was younger, but as an older adult, our father tried hard to right the wrongs he did and better his life the best he could. Fighting mental health and pretty severe health issues put him at a great disadvantage. But we are thankful for the time and opportunity we had with our dad. We love and miss him very much.
