Biography:

"Jenn’s journey as a first-generation college student growing up in a military household took an unexpected turn when she became a young mother. This led her to put her education on hold until 2013, when she returned to college in Ohio and later continued her studies at the University of Colorado Denver, majoring in Political Science and International Studies. While pursuing her degree and working full-time, Jenn emerged as an enthusiastic advocate for social justice and community empowerment during the Covid-19 pandemic. Jenn co-organized two impactful “Rally for Reproductive Rights” marches in Colorado Springs, raising awareness about the importance of protecting reproductive freedoms. Her commitment to the cause extended to working closely with local community organizations, collaborating with like-minded individuals to amplify their collective voice and effect meaningful change.

In addition to her advocacy work for reproductive rights, Jenn immersed herself in local politics, dedicating her time and energy to working on three local election campaigns, leveraging her skills and knowledge to support candidates who championed progressive values and prioritized the needs of the community. Through research and engagement with local organizations, she gained valuable insights into the underlying forces shaping political and social landscapes, empowering her to advocate effectively for causes she believed in. Jenn’s passion for understanding political systems and global affairs led her to study dictatorships and autocratic regimes in Berlin, Germany in spring 2023 while undertaking an internship at the Ecologic Institute of Berlin, where her focus was on Wolf Reintroduction policies in both the United States and the European Union.

Her dedication to reproductive rights, community engagement, and political activism serves as an inspiring example of how ordinary individuals can make an extraordinary impact in the world around them."
