Hakuna Matata!

My name is Nelly Holdford and I am so excited to share this journey with you. I am proud to say that I have been accepted to my first summer intensive program for acting, singing, and dancing at the Neighborhood Playhouse In New York!

You may be asking what is the "Neighborhood Playhouse" and what is an "intensive" well I am here to explain:

The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre is a full-time acting conservatory located in the heart of New York City. Their approach focuses on the artistic growth of the actor through technical training in acting, movement, speech, and voice. The Neighborhood Playhouse offers the serious acting student what few other acting schools can provide – a rich tradition of excellence in actor training coupled with the practical skills for building a career. A lot of well known actors and celebrities have gone through this program check them out on the website link at the end.

Now an intensive program is concentrated on a single area or subject or into a short time; it is very thorough and vigorous. So this one is an acting intensive and with your help I will be spending 8 hours a day for 6 weeks in the summer working on becoming a better actor and fulfilling one of my dreams to go on Broadway and bring to joy, laughter, and fun to all through my gifts.

To those of you who know me you know that I am a ball of energy. I love bringing joy to those around me and encouraging other to be their best selves. I love bursting into song for no reason at all. I enjoy making people laugh, having deep conversations, meeting new people, making connections, voice impressions, and plethora of other things.

This program is something that would be huge leap forward in my acting career! Now I am the last person to ask for help if I'm being honest. So this is difficult for me to do but I need help financially to get to this program. This is the layout of what I would need in order to be successful in this program:

It would mean a lot if you could help in anyway. I want to be a light in this career field and want people to see God in me as I do this. So even if you can't send me anything financially I would love if you could keep me in your prayers, send me some words of encouragement, or just a note while I embark on this journey. I am very blessed for such an opportunity and I want to use these gifts that I have been given to help others, and be the light to all who I come in contact with. Thank you for your time.
