Support Nevaeh's Journey to Angers

Bonjour mes amis et ma famille! My name is Nevaeh Ortiz, and I am a junior at the University of Houston, majoring in Political Science and double-minoring in French and National Security. This summer, I have the opportunity to study abroad in Angers ([ahn-ZHAY]), France, where I will live with a host family and study at the Université Catholique de l'Ouest. This experience includes two summerlong intensive courses, along with many excursions!

I've already built a strong foundation in French, but true fluency requires immersion. This experience will enrich my global perspective firsthand and strengthen my calling for international affairs. Multilinguists are invaluable in global security, diplomacy, and international governance careers. Living and working with native speakers will better prepare me for a world where cross-cultural communication is key.
