Support Newly Arrived Migrants in Need!

Donation protected
Every Saturday morning at Thompkins Square Park, at St. Brigid's on 7th and B, hundreds of migrants line up to receive food, hygiene products, winter gear, and other basic necessities. The newly arrived migrants displaced by political, economic, and other reasons, have endured long journeys to seek safety and opportunity. Currently, they are facing freezing cold weather, lack of shelter, lack of food, and lack of vital resources for them and their children. We are looking to sustainably help provide these important resources for the families in need at the weekly Saturday events.

Please help us make this a reality by donating and/or sharing this initiative. The more money we raise, the more we can purchase and the more we can help provide the most basic needs. All of the money donated will go towards buying food, hygiene items, and other needed items that we will monitor as demand shifts from week to week. None of the money will go to overhead, administrative fees, or any other expenses.

A little bit about us: We are medical students at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai who want to provide more aid in the form of food and needed items. We also hope to contribute medical services in the future as the project moves along. We really need your help to make this a reality. We are directly working with a group of neighbors running the weekly Saturday event, "East Village Neighbors Who Care." They have already provided thousands of meals and hundreds of people with warm weather clothing, shelter, and information on how to get legal services and work.

Let's show the newest New Yorkers that they are welcome here!

Thank you for your time and consideration :)
