Support Nicholas Hughes' Family After Tragedy

Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Nickole Smith, mother of Nicholas Hughes who was shot to death in the 7900 block of South Wabash on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 6:40 am, as he was headed to work. My son walked out the door, got in his car, and before he could pull off to get to work, his life was taken. Nicholas had just started his new job at Pepsi 2 months ago. Prior to that, he was employed at FedEx for many years. My son was one of the good ones, he wasn't perfect but, he was never in trouble, had a clean background, wasn't into gangs or selling drugs. He worked every day to provide for his wife, 4 kids, and a set of unborn twins.

Because Nicholas had just started at Pepsi 2 months ago, his benefits had not kicked in, therefore I am asking for help to bury my child. My family and I are hurting, this loss has taken my soul from me, not my "Only Son". I keep asking God Why and How did this happen to my son. I can only come to the conclusion that this had to be a mistaken identity, there is nothing else that I can come up with.

Please find it in your hearts to make a donation in assisting me with funeral and burial costs. My child did NOT deserve this, I'm hoping whomever did this, find it in their hearts to turn themselves in. Please continue to pray for my family, pray for Nick's wife and their six small children, 3 little boys, 1 little girl, and a set of unborn twins who will never get to meet their daddy. No donation is too small, whatever you can afford to give please give. Thank you all in advance.
