Support Nick & Miranda who lost their home from Eaton Fire

I'm Claire Armstrong, a friend of Nick Tipp and Miranda Childs, living in the nearby Glassell Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.

On the night of Tuesday, January 7th, 2025, there were murmurings of sudden Altadena evacuations due to the nearby Eaton Canyon fire and winds with hurricane speeds. Nick and Miranda packed up their dog Sheena and a few belongings and found safe shelter across the city of Los Angeles.

The next morning, they received a photo from a neighbor showing their house leveled by the severe destruction of the fire.

Childhood sweethearts, they were recently reunited during the pandemic when Nick flew to New York to bring Miranda to live with him in his Altadena home. Miranda had been settling in and building her life in LA, while Nick was jumpstarting his business.

Nick's home recording studio filled with expensive Spatial Audio equipment, recently acquired to expand his small business. The couple had also built additional spaces for recording artists to stay and collaborate, and they were excited to host more in their "artist barn".

With the couple suffering tragedy after tragedy and trauma after trauma, we want to donate what funds we can to help them rebuild their lives and start afresh. The funds would be used for temporary housing and living expenses while awaiting insurance payouts, and to help recoup the loss of the recording equipment so Nick can continue working.
