Support Nick's Heart Transplant Journey

My name is Nick, and at 35 years old, I'm facing one of the biggest challenges of my life. I've been diagnosed with heart disease, which has dramatically changed my life and left me in need of a transplant.

My Journey

In 2022, at just 33 years old, I received news that nobody expects to hear - my heart wasn't functioning correctly. I was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, affecting both sides of my heart. This led to the placement of my first pacemaker, but that was just the beginning of my journey.

Throughout 2023, my condition became more complicated. I developed a dangerous heart rhythm condition called ventricular tachycardia (VT), which required both a specialized heart procedure (ablation) and an upgrade to a more advanced cardiac device.

Current Situation

Recent medical tests have revealed that my heart function continues to deteriorate. I'm experiencing increasing episodes of irregular heart rhythms and shortness of breath, which have led to multiple hospitalizations. I am currently hospitalized in the Cardiac ICU at Cleveland Clinic and am unable to leave until they find a donor.

The Path Forward

Due to the progressive nature of my condition, I have been listed for a heart transplant at the renowned Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. I am currently awaiting a donor match while working closely with their world-class transplant team. This critical next step in my journey will require my family and me:
