Support Nicolas' Fight Against Osteosarcoma

Hi, hope all is well.
I'm Courtney, young mother of 2 boys. Posted above is my son, Nicolas. In October of 2022, I received the news that my son had osteosarcoma. Osteosarcoma is a bone cancer mostly found in children and young adults. It typically appears as a mass of abnormal bone in an arm or leg, usually near the knee or shoulder.
For Nicolas, a mass appeared in his knee. One day on the way to a doctor's visit, Nicolas fell and fractured his leg. Because of this, doctors needed to start him with chemotherapy immediately to prevent the cancer from spreading. After months of chemotherapy and wearing a cast from the hip down, Nicolas went through a surgery called rotationplasty to remove the cancerous growth from his knee.
Rotationplasty is a limb salvage procedure that preserves the lower part of your leg after removing the knee. A surgeon removes the diseased part of your leg, then reattaches the lower part to your remaining thigh. But they rotate the lower part 180 degrees before reattaching it, so your foot points backward.
After months of physical therapy and a few more rounds of chemotherapy, Nicolas went into remission, but not for long. Nicolas' cancer came back for a second time but this time in his lungs. Along with this disease, my baby boy's lung had collapsed, and he needed an emergency surgery. This meant more chemotherapy, scans, and hospital visits. Months later Nicolas was back in remission. We thought we were in the clear until we got the devastating news Nicolas has relapsed for the third time. This time in his lungs again and more aggressive, plus another collapsed lung.
At this point, the doctors have given up hope on Nicolas' recovery and told me to prepare to make him most comfortable as he transitions. However, Nicolas and I, have not given up and we will fight!
My family is reaching out for assistance in Nicolas' medical needs, funds towards his new and improved diet, herbs, daily needs and bills. Please don't hesitate to share Nicolas' story and assist us in any way you can. We appreciate you all and hope we can inspire those who know our story to advocate for yourself and loved ones and please take your health seriously for this can happen to anyone.
Peace and love from Mommy Court
