Support Nicole’s Fight with a Rare Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I am reaching out to you all on behalf of my sister, Nicole, who is starting the hardest battle of fighting breast cancer. She has Squamous Cell Breast Cancer, which is a very rare and aggressive type, with it being found in less than 0.1% of cases. She has only just found out the diagnose 12 days ago and her team is jumping right into starting treatment on February 27th.
During her care - she will be enduring 6 rounds of chemotherapy (consisting of 2 different types) along with other immunotherapy medications. Because of this type's rarity, she will also have to travel back and forth to see specialists at Dana Farber, the best and leading edge of cancer research in the US, to help contribute to their research. Nicole also has the BRCA1 genetic mutation which severely increases risks of breast cancer among other types as well. After her chemotherapy she has bravely chosen to undergo a mastectomy to prevent breast cancer the chance of coming back ever again.
Nicole is an amazing mother, daughter, sister, partner, friend. She is loved and cherished by so many of us and has had resounding strength with all of the information and testing she has been through thus far. I am hoping that through this GoFundMe that we can all help support her during this time. She will need it, she deserves it, and she would do the same for another in need.
She is a mother to two amazing children and also works at a rescue farm sanctuary. The cancer treatments and surgery will make her unable to work for the foreseeable future. Her strength and immune system will be greatly challenged during this and she will need to focus on resting and recovering. My family and I hope that this fundraiser will aid her and her children to keep as much normalcy to their lives as possible. Their world is about to change but this can help keep some things consistent and diminish financial worries, the last thing we would want her concerned with during this fight.
We all greatly appreciate any donations received from the bottoms of our hearts. The funds will help recoup the loss of her income, the travel expenses, living necessities, and to keep her children in their extra curriculars. The one thing we can control during this is the financial support to maintain that part of their lives and she deserves that and more.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this. If you are not able to donate, you can still help our family and my sister by giving this a share!
With much gratitude,
Briannon
