Support Niki’s Journey to DTS and Missions

Dear Friends & Family,

I’m writing to share with you an exciting opportunity and experience that lies ahead for me. In September, I am planning to attend a Discipleship Training School with Youth With A Mission in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is a good opportunity for me to learn from some of the best, about how to share God's word with people who may have never heard about him before. It will also help me to craft a foundation for the future church that I want to create.

Over the past 50 years, thousands of students have been trained through DTS and most of them would say that it is one of the most significant experiences of their lives. The DTS is an intensive Christian training course that consists of a classroom/lecture phase followed by an international outreach into areas of the world that have little or no Christian influence. The DTS aims to encourage students to develop personal character and to cultivate a living relationship with God and identify their unique gifts and callings. Cross cultural exposure and global awareness are especially emphasized through the DTS, preparing students

to reach the current and future generations. I hope you see the value in what I am about to engage in and what I hope to accomplish by taking this step. As you can imagine, a trip like this requires financial support from a number of people. I need to raise $3,975 for the lecture phase of the program and $6,195 for the outreach phase of the program. Most importantly, I will need some prayer support. Prayer is the fuel that will allow us to be successful as I follow God’s leading. I would really benefit from your prayers as I want to grow in my personal life and ministry. Without prayer, nothing will happen. While money is important, it comes in a distant second to my need for your prayer support. Since prayer support is so important to the success of this mission, I would like to know that I can count on you in that area.

I want to thank every single person who gives even a penny and I also want to thank everyone for their prayers. Anything you can give, even if it's just “good luck, " is appreciated so much. I have had this program on my heart for a year now and sometimes it is scary to think that it is coming so fast. I am excited for this new and beautiful opportunity to grow in my faith and learn things I may have never considered. I am also terrified of this new chapter in my life. It is going to be one of the hardest things I have ever done. Being this far away from my family and friends will be a challenge, but as long as I know that the people I leave here are still supporting me and that my God loves me and is there working through me I will be okay.
